Community members invited to serve on Seven Dreams Foundation Board
New Hope, Minn. (March 23, 2009) –The Seven Dreams Foundation, a 501(c)(3) education foundation that raises funds for innovative educational programs in Robbinsdale Area Schools, is seeking community members to serve on its board of directors. Community members are invited to apply now for election at the annual meeting on May 13.
The Seven Dreams Foundation is currently working to increase its scope and capacity to work across the seven cities served by Robbinsdale Area Schools to develop partnerships and bring resources to innovative school programs. The Foundation is seeking interested community members to apply for 3-year board of director positions. Anyone who is passionate about public schools, increasing student achievement and building public-private partnerships is welcome. The board, in particular, is seeking community members with expertise in law, communications and public relations, information technology, and special event planning, and other areas of expertise that would be of value to the board.
The Seven Dreams Foundation serves the public school community in the seven cities within the Robbinsdale Area Schools district. The Foundation provides an independent funding source for grants to support creative and innovative approaches to public education that are funded through generous donations from employees and residents in the district's seven communities.
